Only 3 days Until Me-Made-May!

When I didn't see my list of new patterns in the drawer,
I asked if they were in the box on the counter.
The guy let me raid the box!!!!
I love nice people!!!!!
This weekend I while folding and putting away clothes, I decided to see what I have to make outfits for Me-Made-May. I'm in trouble! I might be wearing only a couple of tops with pants that don't match. I will look like my daughter when I let her choose her clothes when she was in preschool.

This lead me to write out what I have that is appropriate for May. Since I live a rather casual life, I don't need much. Mostly jeans, casual pants, t-shirts...you know, the Mom Uniform.

Of course, Sacramento goes from cool to HOT sometime between May and June. So, I am going to need some transitions. I won't need everything at once, but it really could happen over night.

I've decided some t-shirts and a pull-over hoody before the end of this week. Then I can work on the rest.

Here are some finds from Joann's today:
Four knits that will make great tees.
Yep, they have lycra!!!!

I'm imagining a couple Sorbettos.
Or, maybe a sleeveless button down and a skirt?
And last week's fabric mission resulted in these:

The crazy abstract stripe is for my first Lady Skater.
The navy knit is for a skirt, yoga pants &/or shorts.
The pink/purple tie dye guaze is for McCalls 6854.  I bought the fabric before the pattern.
I'm off to print, tape, trace and cut out patterns and fabric! I don't want to be caught wearing mismatched jammies for the month of May.

    1. Thanks Nakisha. I have plans for ALL of it. Except for half of the white jersey. I'm actually debating on using it in one project or two.

  3. I think you and I are going to have the same problem with MMM14 - which is why I opted for only one outfit a week :)

  4. You picked the prettiest fabric!! I have a Sorbetto on my list, too. I rarely sew wovens, so I thought that would be a good change. I hope it goes well.

    1. I haven't liked many fabric lately. I only bought fabric I liked and knew what they would be sewn into--except the white jersey. I just taped my Sorbetto together and the fabric is in the dryer!

    1. Oh, Annie, I hope this next month shrinks my stash! Most of these are knits so I'm hoping that they will get sewn quickly.
