I love to sew for Mr. Toad.
I love a quick sew.
I have found a way to combine all three!

Jedediah pants |
To be honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to get this pattern. But with the download only $7.50 and with it on sale for 30% off (until Midnight 4/4/2014), I just had to try these out. Plus, they are having a sew-along.

Strathcona Henley |
The pants will most likely be made as shorts first, since our Sacramento summer is fast approaching any day now. The Henley may not be as immediate, but he might want it before his next camping trip.

Goldstream Pea Coat |
Back to the trunk Comex Trunk sew-along, the first post will be on the Thread Theory blog tomorrow and the last instructional post will be on April 16 or 18. There is even a drawing from those who have their finished photos posted by May 5th!
The drawing will be for a large variety of supplies to sew "a drawer full of trunks," as she put it.
Anyone else willing to give this a try?
I won't be joining, but the trunks look like something my hubby would wear. I have never sewn anything for him and hope to make something this year. I know Mr. Toad will appreciate the trunks, and that Pea Coat is nice!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I sewed for Mr. Toad were pajamas. This is a great first project because fit is not a big deal. Oldest Son, had a pea coat and loved it. I don't remember how, but it was ruined. He has looked around for one he wants, and this is it.
